Slip and Fall

An owner of a property is liable for failing to use ordinary care in the management of his person and property. In essence, the owner, whether they are a private person or public entity (i.e. a city), must act reasonably and take into account the probability of injury to others on their properties. When the owner fails to do so, a party may recover for personal injury.

Slip and Fall injuries are caused when a person slips (or trips) on a floor, sidewalk, or other surface. Generally, the owner of a house, a building, a parking lot or any other premise is responsible for a slip and fall on the premises.
